New Tube Feeding Supplier as of October First

Medline was bought out by Home Care Delivered in Virginia. Their phone number is 1-800-565-5644. As of October 1, Nick’s tube feeding supply order will need to be placed with Home Care Delivered.

Permission has been granted to Medline to provide Home Care Delivered with Nick’s information. The rep at Medline did not know if the new company would require new prior approvals for supplies. She also does not know if they will be able to provide all of the supplies. I need to call ahead of time to find out.

Given that Nick’s new insurance, Commonwealth Care Alliance, has the problem of both supplies not being covered all by a single supplier and that UMass Memorial/Harrington primary care providers will no longer accept his insurance, I’ll be looking into going back to plain old Medicare and MassHealth Standard.
