Mobile Cardiac Monitor

Update: Nick wore the monitor for a month. I returned it via USPS on Monday.

Nick received the Rythmstar Mobile Cardiac Monitor in the mail that his new neurologist, Dr. Huttinger, ordered for him. He wants to make sure that the episodes that Nick has had aren’t heart-related rather than a seizure or vasovagal reaction. I called and activated the monitor this afternoon. He’s supposed to wear it through August 18th. It came with lots of electrodes. If his skin gets irritated, I can call the phone number in the book that came with the monitor and they can send out electrodes with different adhesives. If those electrodes still irritate his skin, I’m to call Dr. Huttinger.

The monitor came with a return envelope. I’m keeping it under the bed. It has extra electrodes and a charger in it.
