Nick Gets Anti-Rejection Meds From UMASS Now
Because of insurance reasons, he gets anti-rejection meds at UMASS now. Call a week ahead of when they’re due to be refilled and speak with Suellen. 774-670-1708. She works right in the transplant clinic. She may call my phone before they’re due to start the process. The medications from UMASS are Sirolimus, Prednisone, and Mycophenolate. They get delivered to the house. Nice!
You’ll find a calendar under Nick’s meds in the kitchen cabinet. I write when they’re due on it, and if a label isn’t on a bottle, you’ll find it on the back of the month that they’re due. Sometimes I’ll remember to write when a bottle was first opened. Mycophenolate expires 60 days after being filled (starts as a powder, they add water). Sirolimus expires 30 days after it was opened.
